ESG Report 2025

From market insight to tangible improvements

Alflow acts as the link between manufacturers and customers – and we actively fulfil that role. Through our collaboration with Dockweiler, we have helped to test more sustainable packaging solutions and strengthen the supporting documentation, ensuring that customers receive solutions that both work in practice and support their environmental efforts.

From market insight to tangible improvements

Value chain & knowledge sharing

At Dockweiler, our knowledge of the market and legislation has had a tangible impact, ranging from changes to packaging to joint quarterly meetings and the start of work on an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

Alflow is not just a link in the supply chain. We are the bridge between manufacturers and customers, and that position carries obligations.

From demand to evidence

Alflow requested that Dockweiler change its packaging method in order to reduce the environmental impact of shipping. As described in the section on waste sorting, packaging has been a key
focus area for us in 2025, and the work also extends to our suppliers. We participated ourselves as a test party, tried out new materials and methods and documented that they worked without complaints. For our customers, this means that they receive products in packaging that is tested, responsible and ready for use.

A structured collaboration

We have established quarterly meetings with Dockweiler, during which we systematically share insights on three areas: changes in legislation and regulation, market demand, and opportunities to improve packaging in order to reduce the environmental footprint of freight. According to Sofia Kube, Director of Sales for Life Science, Energy, Industry & BU Fusion at Dockweiler, the collaboration is based on “a strong partnership with focus on joint development.”

This is reflected, amongst other things, in our ongoing knowledge-sharing, where we contribute insights into local regulatory requirements, compliance and customer needs. In this context, Sofia Kube highlights that Alflow has supported Dockweiler by “sharing knowledge about local regulations and compliance requirements and by providing valuable insights into market demand.”

The dialogue simultaneously helps to qualify

Dockweiler’s ongoing work on alternative, plastic-free packaging solutions. As a partner, we have helped to test new materials and processes in practice, ensuring that the solutions not only reduce the environmental footprint but also work in customers“ everyday lives. In this way, the collaboration supports the development of solutions which – in Sofia Kube’s words – meet both ”today’s demands and tomorrow’s standards.”

Common direction moving forward

Dockweiler has begun work on an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), which provides more transparent documentation of the products’ environmental impact. This gives our customers a better basis for documenting their own environmental work and meeting the requirements of their stakeholders.
