Only very few, very unusual substances and conditions can affect it, such as fluorine gas at high temperature and pressure. The excellent chemical resistance of the PTFE liner and the ease of cleaning and high resistance to steam sterilisation represent important advantages in many applications.
PTFE hoses also have very high temperature resistance. PTFE can be used as hose lining at temperatures from -150°C and up to + 260˚C, depending on hose design and use.
