Orifice plates
Orifice plates used to alter flow patterns in critical systems.
Orifice plates are made in 316L stainless steel and are electropolished as standard. An orifice plate is a thin plate with a hole in it, which is usually placed in a pipe. When a fluid passes through the orifice, its pressure builds up slightly upstream of the orifice, but as the fluid is forced to pass through the hole, the velocity increases and the fluid pressure decreases downstream.
The hole can be positioned in the centre or excentrically for self-draining capabilities.
Each Orifice plate has a high-performance gasket made of either PTFE, EPDM, platinum-cure silicone or FKM.
