How to achieve 15 times longer service life for your hoses!

Do you also have challenges with the durability of your pharmaceutical hoses in connection with CIP or transport of abrasive media?

It is a major problem for many that the chemicals used in connection with CIP, wear on the hoses, so that silicone gets into the product.

Do you also want to avoid this?

Then you might want to consider using PTFE-lined hoses.

Pharmaline

The most chemically resistant material on the market

PTFE is the most chemically resistant material on the market and is therefore suitable for the most demanding processes in pharma and industry.

PTFE-lined hoses can therefore be used for a wider variety of chemicals than any other type of hose, making them the ideal choice for highly corrosive, chemical applications.

Our supplier of pharmaceutical hoses, Aflex Hose, produces hoses that can be used for many purposes.

For more than 40 years, Aflex Hose has been developing and manufacturing the widest and most advanced range of PTFE-lined hoses in the world.

The hoses have a smooth inner surface and a stainless steel reinforcement around the outside.

The smooth inner surface makes it easy to clean, and the outside reinforcement makes the hose more flexible and less prone to breaking.

15 times longer service life

The combination of the smooth inner PTFE, which is extremely resistant to chemicals, and the steel sheath, which strengthens the hose, together provide a hose with an extremely long service life.

In fact, the PTFE hoses from Aflex Hose have more than 15 times longer service life compared to other types of rubber-coated, smooth-bore PTFE lined hoses.

Bioflex Ultra, Corroline+ and Pharmaline N all withstand more than 100,000 cycles at maximum working pressure.

Competitors' hoses all fail after fewer than 13,500 cycles.

That's quite a significant difference isn't it?

But this is not the only advantage that PTFE hoses from Aflex Hose have to offer.

High chemical resistance
PTFE is the most chemically resistant material on the market. PTFE-lined hoses can therefore be used for a wider variety of chemicals than any other type of hose, making them the ideal choice for highly corrosive, chemical applications and multi-production applications.

Non-stick surface
PTFE-lined hoses can be made 100% clean - faster, easier and more reliably than any other type of hose.

Excellent temperature range
PTFE can be used as hose lining at temperatures from -150°C and up to + 260˚C, depending on hose design and use. This is the widest temperature range for any rubber or plastic lining material.

Very high electrical resistance
In some hose applications, there is a risk of developing an electrostatic charge inside the hose. Aflex Hose has developed a solution that is compatible with both FDA and USP Class VI.

Unique hose design
The inner, smooth surface is very easy to clean and provides a higher flow rate. The stainless steel reinforcement makes the hose very flexible and less prone to breakage.
